More capacity and more predictable supply
BART has completed an investment programme worth approximately EUR 60 million, or about PLN 250 million. Plant expansion, new production lines and automation have increased capacity by 50%. The 70,000 m² facility can now process around 150,000 tonnes of paper a year.
For customers, this scale supports capacity availability, repeatable quality and smoother implementation of large production runs. These benefits matter in FMCG and e-commerce, where packaging supply must stay aligned with manufacturing, packing and sales schedules.
Technology designed to improve the complete process
Capacity growth is only part of the change. BART is expanding the technical resources needed to design packaging around production, storage, transport and retail display. This shifts the conversation from the price of a single box to the performance of the complete process.
One example described by Puls Biznesu increased the number of packs per pallet by 33%. Better pallet utilisation can reduce transport demand, simplify warehouse operations and lower handling costs while maintaining product protection.
Preparing for a second production plant
Puls Biznesu also reports that BART is preparing for a second plant, representing a potential investment of approximately EUR 100 million. The project is intended to expand capacity and bring BART closer to customers in further European markets. Its location and timetable are still being planned.
